Over the weekend we had a little party for Tobin. We mostly just had family and a couple friends. It was a perfect day, so the kids played in the park, and we were able to picnic in our yard! I was so glad it was nice so that we could have it at our house. We had hoped to finish off our picnic table area before the party, but that didn't happen. In the end it ended up being a blessing to have a sandpit right where we were eating. The girls ate dinner at their own kids table, while the boys took over the other table. Tobin had lots of help opening his presents, and has had lots of help playing with them since then. He doesn't seem to mind although I keep having to remind Elinore that they are Tobin's new things. I made my grandma's Pineapple Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. I love carrot cake, and I think Tobin does, too since he had three helpings!! He couldn't get enough of it! I made the cake in the shape of a monkey since Tobin has a thing for monkeys. He thought that was pretty funny.
By the time everyone was gone I was exhausted, but we all had a great time and were so glad to share it with our loved ones!
