Odessa Lake

Odessa Lake may very well be my favorite hike (so far, anyway). We do it as a loop so that it ends up being about 9 miles long and you see about 4 lakes total. It has some truly breathtaking views along the way. In order to do such a long hike, Kevin decided to carry Elinore, and Mike (Laura's fiancee) volunteered to carry Tobin. I carried all the stuff! The hike did not disappoint although I think the wildflowers are more prolific earlier in the summer. We've never done this trip this late before.

A little mountain meadow near Lake Helene where we stopped for a snack break.

Hiking through the gorge. You can see my dad, Kevin, and Mike ahead on the trail.

The lush wildflower filled valley that leads to Odessa Lake.

Elinore in front of Odessa Lake. Can you tell it was cold!
