Our last hike on our last day was to Lake Isabelle in the Indian Peaks region. It was not a difficult hike although it started at 10,000ft, so there was a bit of altitude to deal with. It was beautiful and lush with a lovely view. The only disturbing thing was the sign at the start of the hike warning you that this was mountain lion country and informing you of what to do if you come across a mountain lion. Things like "don't run away, stand your ground, don't make eye contact, throw your posessions at it, if it knocks you down get back up..." Yeah right! Like I'm going to be able to do all that if I see a mountain lion!! Oh well, there were enough people on the trail that I would have been surprised if we had seen one.
Elinore got to touch some snow which she had been waiting all week for.
Our little woodland elf hidden in the hollow trunk of a tree.
A moment alone.
