Alice Beret

I apologize for my lack of blogging lately. We're still trying to gain some control over our lives. More will come.

In the meantime, this is my sister Caitlyn. Her birthday was at the beginning of May and this is what she requested. It is called the Alice Beret from Louisa Harding's "Knitting Little Luxuries." It was a fun knit (once I gave up doing the picot edging as a cast-on and picked it up at the end instead). The sizing fits perfectly, and my seaming continues to get better.

Luckily I had this finished long before Tobin was born as I have hardly picked up my needles in the last month. Our sweet new baby is quite the grump when he is awake, so our spare time has been devoted to rocking, holding, comforting,... Can't wait until this stage is over, but I do love how snuggly he is, and how peaceful he seems when he's asleep. We love him so much already.

So Caity, make sure to send a photo in the fall of the beret in all its glory!
