We're so glad you can talk!

Elinore has been saying some really funny things lately. I thought I would give you a laugh. This picture is of the camels at the zoo.

Jen: Elinore, Sophie's (cousin) birthday is in a few weeks. What should we give her for her birthday?
Elinore: uh...a PANCAKE!

Elinore: Ask Megan pool (translation: I want to ask Miss Megan if we can play in her pool)
Jen: I'm sorry Elinore. We will have to play inside today because it is rainy.
Elinore: Turn rainy off.

Kevin: Elinore, what does the camel say?
Elinore: (holding her index finger in the air) one hump, one hump, two hump, two hump!

Kevin: Elinore, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Elinore: (thinks for a minute, and then very excitedly says) BE ELINORE!

So fun! I love to hear your perspecitve on the world, Elinore. Let's hope you are truly Elinore when you grow up... and all days until then. Love ya!
Aunt Amy
PS I'm sure Sophie would love a pancake for her b-day. :)

We too are so enjoying watching her language acquisition. One day recently seemed to be her "I did it!" day, her recognition of each new accomplishment. She seems to love connecting with people through language. It's so good to record some of her steps along the way.

My favorite Jen-speak was rai-rais for raisins and "aubie aubie aubie" which apparently what Tulsa turkeys said! Love, Aunt Candy

she's just such a bundle of fun. I felt I should share with you something Dad said yesterday. I was going to the grocery store to get some sausage and I was asking if he had an suggestions as to what to get and he said "well you don't want stuff with lots of chemicals in it you'd probably be ok with kosher pork sausage" Me: "do they even make that? Jews don't eat pork"
