Wow. March has felt really busy. This past weekend was yet another weekend away. We flew to New York (Long Island, to be specific) to spend some time with my Grandma. She had not met Elinore yet and we just couldn’t wait any longer to see her. She is one of the most wonderful women I know and is full of many qualities I hope someday to embody. Caitlyn and Laura went with us, so all of the Bodine sisters were together again. Early early Friday morning, we got up and flew to Long Island. Elinore very smartly attired in a little St. Patrick’s day dress covered with shamrocks. All of the flight attendants couldn’t get enough of her.
It was so beautiful to see Elinore with Grandma. It is a strange thing to have two people

together with such an enormous age gap. My grandma will turn 94 this year, and Elinore is just 4 months. To think that once my grandma was this small…and that someday Elinore will be this old (God-willing). Life is truly a miracle.

On Saturday we had a big get together at my Aunt Barby’s house. I always forget how big my family really is and how overwhelming that must be for someone like Kevin. He is such a good sport and gets along very well with everyone. All of the second cousins couldn’t get enough of the babies (Katie is the other baby and she is just 2 months)!! It was nice to have someone else do the entertaining for a while.

We took a nice 3 mile walk out at Comsett State Park. Although the sun was beautiful and blazing, the wind was cold. It was great to get out in the fresh air and walk. Long Island has so many beautiful places. This was an estate owned by Marshall Field (back in the day).

Thank you to all of the New Yorkers who so graciously hosted us, and were so excited to see us again! Hope to see you all soon again.

I absolutely love the hands picture, you should definitely frame it. Two important people in your life holding hands upon their first meeting. It is very beautiful - you have a very beautiful family, Jen. :)
Thanks Jane! It is good to hear from you. How are wedding plans coming (this is the jane I think it is, right?)
