A Perfect Day

A couple weeks ago, we took an afternoon and headed down to one of our local orchards. We wanted to see all the fruit trees in bloom! They were beautiful, but the trees in full bloom had bee boxes all over to help with pollination. One of those moments when you think - oh yeah, I guess that's kind of important for fruit! So we satisfied ourselves in the just barely blooming peach trees. We felt a little sneaky as we were not quite sure we were supposed to be in there at all. I'd really like to have one of my professional photographer friends do family portraits for us someday, but it doesn't seem to fit into the budget at present, so we took along our tripod. All in all, I'd say we got at least a couple nice family shots! And we had a glorious day!!

After playing in the orchard a bit, we headed down to a huge dandelion field for a picnic. Elinore contented herself making bouquets, and Toby wanted to eat them! It was one of those days you want to put in a bottle on the shelf to open again whenever you want. These are some of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!
